What does Parents Training include?
Initial Conversation: A consultation to identify your family’s needs and goals.
Assessment: Virtual assessments tailored to your child, which may include standardized tools such as the ABLLS or VB-MAPP, as well as evaluations for specific needs like challenging behaviour, eating, toileting, or sleep.
Assessment Report: A detailed report summarizing findings and recommending next steps.
Parent Training: Practical, evidence-based training focused on understanding and managing behaviour. Strategies are designed to increase positive behaviours and reduce behaviours that interfere with learning and daily life.

How Often
Initial Conversation: 1–2 hours
Assessment: Depends on the needs and assessment chosen, typically 2–10 hours
Parent Training: 11 hours in total, usually delivered as 1-hour sessions per week. After completing the program, families may choose to continue support through our supervision service.

The parent training program is a comprehensive, evidence-based program using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). Its purpose is to support parents and carers in managing daily challenges and improving the quality of life for both the young person and the family.
